Vela Bonita began from something deeply personal: the women who came before me. I grew up surrounded by women who gave so much of themselves to others, often leaving little time to care for themselves. With a background in public health and a curiosity about the products we bring into our homes, I began looking more closely at what was in the everyday rituals meant to bring us comfort.

What started as a desire to create thoughtfully formulated candles became something more—a way to tell stories through scent.

Today, Vela Bonita creates fragrances inspired by memory, culture, and the places that stay with us. From familiar aromas that feel like home to places we've traveled and moments we've yet to experience, each fragrance is an invitation to feel something—to remember, to be present, or simply to be transported somewhere else for a while.

Every candle is hand-poured in small batches with 100% soy wax and thoughtfully selected fragrance, because what goes into the experience matters just as much as the experience itself.
